FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about the machines, the partnership, and how to test before you buy.
Who makes the machines — Gayan or ZhongChuang?
The machines are engineered and manufactured by Beijing Zhongchuang Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (FOD Instruments), a Chinese manufacturer specializing in polymer testing instruments and optical inspection systems. Gayan is ZhongChuang's authorized overseas sales and service partner. Same machines, same price as the factory, and everything on the international side — quotation, contract, export, installation, and warranty — handled by Gayan.
Why buy through Gayan instead of contacting the manufacturer?
Three reasons. Same price — our agreement guarantees factory pricing through Gayan; going around us saves you nothing. Faster support — we reply within 24 hours in your language, and warranty claims are handled by one accountable company, not forwarded to Beijing. Proof before purchase — our Shanghai facility runs your pellets on the exact machine you'd buy, so your decision is based on your own test data, not spec sheets.
What can the machines detect?
Black specks and black-spot pellets, foreign contamination, and color-deviant pellets in polymer resins — PE, PP, and other transparent, translucent, or opaque natural pellets. Detection resolution reaches 20 μm on the GA-25 Lab scanner and 25 μm on the GS-1000 Pro sorter (50 μm on the color-camera version). The sorters physically eject defective pellets automatically (≥95% accuracy, defect carryover better than 1:20).
Can I test the machine on my material before buying?
Yes — that's our standard workflow, and the first test is free. Send us 5–25 kg of your pellets (ideally including known defect pellets). We run them at our Shanghai facility and send you the video, full defect statistics, and a recommendation within 5 working days. If you later buy a machine, the testing fee is fully credited toward the purchase. Most customers make their decision from this report.
What if I don't want to buy a machine at all?
Then use it as a service. We offer standalone sample testing (batch or supplier-lot cleanliness analysis) and toll sorting — we clean contaminated lots for you, by the ton, with before/after documentation your customer can verify.
What materials do the machines handle?
Primarily PE and PP pellets (transparent, translucent, or opaque natural colors). Other polymer pellets can usually be accommodated — send us a sample and we'll verify on real material before you commit.
What about installation, training, and warranty?
Every machine ships with installation and operator training (on-site or remote); the first on-site commissioning includes travel costs. Standard warranty is 12 months from acceptance (max 18 months from delivery, wear parts excluded), administered by Gayan. Software updates are free for life, and we include one year of free software feature customization.
What are the payment and delivery terms?
Typical terms: 30% deposit, 70% before shipment (T/T); L/C accepted for larger orders — final terms confirmed in your quotation and contract. Delivery is 3–4 months from deposit receipt for standard configurations. Contracts are issued by Gayan in English.
What utilities and space do I need?
The GA-25 Lab is a benchtop instrument needing only 220 V mains power. The GS-1000 Pro requires a 220 V / 16 A supply, clean dry compressed air (5–6 bar, ≥ 200 L/min), and a footprint of 3,000 × 1,500 mm with 2,000 mm headroom. We provide full installation-condition drawings with every quotation.
Do you exhibit at trade shows?
Yes — Gayan and ZhongChuang exhibit together at international plastics and quality-inspection exhibitions. Contact us for the next show where you can see the machines running live and meet both teams.
